Management and Structure of Eedenglen
Eedenglen Retirement Village consists of three different entities, the Home Owners Association (HOA) (Freehold Houses), the Body Corporate (Partial Title Units) and the Frail Care Unit (Frail Care Association). The Board of Trustees (Partial Title Units) and Boards (HOA and Frail Care Unit), to whom the General Manager reports, represent the owners in all matters concerning the Village. Directors and Trustees are elected during the Annual General Meetings.

All owners of property in the Village, whose levy payments are up to date, are entitled to vote at the Annual General Meetings (AGM) or any Special General Meetings of their respective entities.

​Committees are set up to carry out specific tasks on behalf of the Board. The committees do not exist in their own right, but have delegated powers and must answer to the Board and Trustees. In addition to the fact that they take over certain tasks from the Board/Trustees, this also eases the workload of the Village's staff. An additional advantage is that it gives residents of the Village a say in matters that directly affect them as residents. A greater involvement of residents also leads to greater transparency and a sense of togetherness.

Finance Committee:
Considers all matters of a financial nature and settles matters or makes recommendations about them to the Board/Trustees.

Executive Committee:
Consider urgent matters between Board meetings and dispose of such matters or present them to the Board /Trustees for consideration or condonation.
​
Site Committee:
Assist the Manager: Technical Services and his team with the identification of bottlenecks in the infrastructure, the prioritization of needs and the establishment of a maintenance program for the infrastructure of the Village. The Site Committee also evaluates the safety measures implemented in the Village on a regular basis and provides input in this regard to the Board of Directors / Trustees.
